"Tiny Titans: Dinosaur Eggs and Babies" Traveling Exhibition!
Bring your little ones to OMSH to learn about how dinosaurs raised their tiny titans. Tiny Titans: Dinosaur Eggs and Babies is a hands-on dinosaur experience for the whole family. Kids can dig for eggs, dress up like a parent dinosaur to brood their nest, and feel the texture of dinosaur eggs. Cute babies and fun dino facts will keep everyone entertained on your next trip to the museum. Babies grow fast so make sure you catch them while they are here from January 27 - September 2, 2018 . Free with Museum admission and always free to Museum Members!

"World War I and America"
Visit and interact with the museum’s temporary exhibit, “World War I and America”, sponsored by a grant received from the Library of America in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and the National Endowment for the Humanities. April 6, 2017 marked the 100th anniversary of the United States’entrance into World War I. Patrons will have a chance to walk through a WWI trench, learn what life was like for the soldiers and how Owensboro’s Homefront helped the war effort. The exhibit has been extended through April 30, 2018!

Spring Break 2018 Activity - "The REAL Story of Sally Sells Seashells by the Seashore! Join Storyteller Susan Fowler for explorations and a creative art project!
We'll gather around regional storyteller Susan Fowler as she shares the real life story of 'Sally' or Mary Anning from England, who at the age of twelve discovered a 200 million year old fossil along the seashore of her hometown ! This young fossilist was born in 1799 and became famous for her discoveries! We will share the stories of other famous fossil hunters from around the world and close the program with an activity called Build-a-Bone! Come enjoy stories with Susan Fowler of explorations & discoveries and a make a creative art project to take home!Thank you to our Spring Break 2018 sponsor, South Central Bank!

Spring Break 2018 Activity - "Dr. Suess Meets Dinosaurs & Cranes & Butterfiles! Join Storyteller Susan Fowler for stories and a GREAT craft!
With the help of regional storyteller Susan Fowler AND 'Dr. Seuss', we'll meet the INCREDIBLE real life stories of some very COOL animals, birds and insects! We'll close with an activity called Paint-on-Cardboard, where you will paint your favorite dinosaur, bird or butterfly to take home! Thank you to our Spring Break 2018 Sponsor, South Central Bank!

Historic Coal Mine Tour - The Day in the Life of a 1930's Rudy Coal Mine Miner
Put on a coal mine helmet and join us on a trip through the Rudy Coal Mine, an historic Daviess County coal mine featuring the history of coal mining in the 19th Century, along with the 1930's time period. This tour is included with admission, but space is limited. Please sign up at our admissions desk when you check into the museum. Enjoy the tour!
