Free to the public Veterans Day Brown Bag Lunch Concert, this Friday, November 8, 2019 from 12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m! The River City Winds will be playing patriotic music arranged by WWII Veteran Dr. Emil Ahnell! Please join us as we share this musical salute to all our veterans! The first 26 veterans who call (270) 231-3561 PRIOR to November 8th, will receive a free Chick-Fil-A boxed lunch served at the Brown Bag Concert! The lunches have been provided by The Women's Club of Owensboro, Women of Note, First Place Reality, The Lunch Bunch, All Weather Heating and Cooling and anonymous donors. River City Winds: Paula Humphreys, flute, Tracy Day, oboe and Kirsten Ahnell, clarinet.

Historic Coal Mine Tour - A Day in the Life of a 1930's Rudy Coal Mine Miner! Put on a coal mine helmet and join us on a trip through the Rudy Coal Mine, an historic Daviess County coal mine featuring the history of coal mining in the 19th Century, along with the 1930's time period. This tour is included with admission, but space is limited. Please sign up at our admissions desk when you check into the museum. Enjoy the tour!

Location: Begins in our Gift Shop Area - Ends in the Coal Mine!
