Historic Coal Mine Tour - A Day in the Life of a 1930's Rudy Coal Mine Miner! Put on a coal mine helmet and join us on a trip through the Rudy Coal Mine, an historic Daviess County coal mine featuring the history of coal mining in the 19th Century, along with the 1930's time period. This tour is included with admission, but space is limited. Please sign up at our admissions desk when you check into the museum. Enjoy the tour!

Free Public Opening of our new Native American Gallery - The First People of Yellow Banks
Everyone is invited to the free public opening of our new Native American Gallery this Friday, November 1st from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.!!   From 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., patrons can tour the new gallery, visit Susan Fowler's craft table and make an Earth Bead bracelet to take home, taste samples of authentic Native American food and enjoy the museum. The official ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Hawk Laughing, a member of the Mohawk Tribe, leading a Native American prayer and blessing. Mike Tolbert with the Istayapi Drumming Group will finish up the evening with traditional songs and drumming.
